Comprehensive ADHD Assessment.
Ages 6 - 15 Years
This comprehensive assessment explores attention, impulse control, behaviour, and executive functioning, as well as other patterns commonly associated with ADHD.
It includes the Test of Everyday Attention for Children – Second Edition (TEA-Ch2), together with parent and teacher input to provide a thorough and balanced picture.
This comprehensive package would be ideal if there is a lot of complicating factors obscuring the child’s difficulties. Examples of some of these complicating factors are noted below. If there is relatively simple context with little to no complicating factors, you may be more suited to the Standard ADHD Assessment.
Our comprehensive ADHD assessment looks at how your child’s attention, activity levels, impulse control and executive functioning are developing compared to other children their age.
We gather information from multiple sources, including detailed parent history, teacher questionnaires, and direct assessment sessions with your child. This helps us understand how your child is functioning across different settings - at home, at school, and during structured tasks.
The assessment may include standardised measures of attention, behavioural rating scales, and activities designed to look at working memory, organisation, planning and self-regulation.
By bringing all of this information together, we can determine whether your child meets criteria for ADHD, whether there are other factors contributing to their presentation, and what supports may be most helpful moving forward.

Why might we recommend the comprehensive assessment option?
We may recommend the comprehensive assessment when a child’s presentation is more complex or when there are several factors that could be contributing to their difficulties.
For example, this might include a history of trauma, significant anxiety, strong autistic traits, complex family circumstances, or situations where parents and teachers are observing very different things. In these cases, a brief assessment may not give us enough information to fully understand what is happening.
The comprehensive assessment includes more in-depth, formal measures that allow us to carefully explore attention and executive functioning in detail. This helps us clarify whether ADHD is present, identify any overlapping or alternative explanations, and understand your child’s unique pattern of strengths and challenges.
Executive functions we examine may include areas such as attention control, switching between tasks, planning, impulse control, sustained focus, and how your child manages visual and auditory information.
Because this assessment involves additional testing time, scoring, analysis and a more detailed report, it is more extensive than the Standard ADHD option.
More on the TEA-CH2
Test of Everyday Attention for Children – Second Edition (TEA-Ch2)
The TEA-Ch2 is a structured assessment that helps us understand how your child manages different aspects of attention and executive functioning in everyday tasks.
It provides detailed information about areas such as sustained attention (staying focused over time), auditory and visual attention, the ability to divide attention between tasks, switching between different types of information, reaction speed, and impulse control. Rather than relying only on observation or questionnaires, this assessment gives us objective data about how your child performs in these areas.
The results help clarify whether patterns are consistent with ADHD and guide practical recommendations for school, tutoring, and allied health supports such as speech therapy, occupational therapy or psychology.
A note on assessment inclusions.
It is important to us that assessment costs are transparent from the outset. In most cases, all components required for the assessment are included within the quoted cost.
Occasionally, additional areas of concern may become apparent during the assessment process that were not originally identified. In these instances, the psychologist may recommend further testing to ensure a thorough and accurate evaluation. Any additional recommendations, along with associated fees (if applicable), will always be discussed with you beforehand so you can make an informed decision about whether to proceed.
